  • Church Photo Directory, September 13th-15th | We need your smiling faces! We are creating a new church directory to help us get to know one another better. Sign-up in the front entryway of the sanctuary building or online here!

  • Community Seminar - Planning a Graceful Journey with Aging Parents | Tuesdays 6pm-7:30pm, September 17th-October 8th, Brooks Center | You are invited to a four-week seminar offering guidance on preparing for the future with your aging parents. This event is free and open to all. Registration required. Click here to register!

    Session 1 - September 17th | Legal challenges for the aging, with Attorney Pat Smith

    Session 2 - September 24th | Facing difficult decisions and questions, with social worker Kelly Markhem LCSW

    Session 3 - October 1st | Medical challenges for the aging, with Dr. Ryan Forbess

    Session 4 - October 8th | Resources for a path forward, with special guests from the Senior Center, the Council on Aging, and Affinity Care.

  • Wednesdays at OBUMC |September 11th - December 4th | Join us for our midweek ministry opportunities for all ages and an evening meal here at OBUMC! Fellowship Dinner begins at 5pm. Ministry activities start at 6pm and end at 7pm.

  • Sept 11th | Wednesday Night Kick-Off | 5pm-7pm, Brooks Center | Join us for family dinner from 5-6pm followed by a worship time and ministry presentation. All of our ministry leaders and adult group leaders will be sharing what their ministry is going to be studying.

  • KIDS NITE OUT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED | Tuesday, August6 | 5PM-8:30PM, WaterfrontPark | Join us in partnering with the Police Department for its annual Kids Nite Out! Volunteers will be assigned stations including serving food, monitoring water equipment, and helping with parking. Sign up here!

  • SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR 1ST WEEK OF SCHOOL | August 14-21 | Help our OB Elementary teachers make the first week of school awesome. Volunteers are needed to sign up for one or more of three daily slots: 15 minutes prior to school, 1 hour for lunch, and 15 minutes at the end of school. Volunteers will assist kindergarteners find their classrooms, hang up their coats and backpacks, and open their food items at lunch. Sign up here!

  • BACKPACK MINISTRY | August & September | Join us in collecting food products for local students who need food at home on weekends. Flyers suggesting needed products are available at all church entrances. Containers will be placed at those entrances foryour donated items.

  • VIDEO REFLECTIONS | Finding I AM by Lysa TerKeurst | Our United Methodist Women’s ministry invites all women of the church to participate in a free, six-part virtual video reflection entitled “Finding I AM” by Lysa TerKeurst. Each of the reflections is approximately twenty minutes. Together, we will discover the truth that no matter our lives’ circumstances, Jesus is the key to true satisfaction. You can find the video reflections on our website www.orangebeachumc.org/findingiam. These reflections are designed to be watched each week, but feel free to watch them at your own pace!

  • HONDURAS MISSION TRIP | November 8th-16th | Sula, Honduras | Join our team traveling to Honduras for a medical mission trip! The focus of the trip is to share God’s love with the patients and families through meeting their medical needs. Even if you don’t have medical skills, there are great ways to serve people and assist the team. You can learn more by downloading our Honduras Mission Trip 2019 Packet!

  • WOMEN OF JOY 2019 TOUR | October 4th-6th, Leconte Center at Pigeon Forge, TN | All women are invited to join us for the Women of Joy weekend, a ministry that has been changing the lives of women since 1994! Together we will seek God, search for answers, rest from the daily grind, and find a connection with other believers. You can learn more about the ministry at womenofjoy.org

  • Sewing for Missions | Meets Mondays and Thursdays, 9AM-11AM, in the west wing of the sanctuary building.

  • Martha’s Circle|Meets every 3rd Thursday of each month at 10AM in the west room of the sanctuary building.
